In an effort to improve water quality through the provision of educational trainings and outreach materials to select Texas watersheds, NRI’s Wild Pig Outreach Program targets priority watersheds in collaboration with the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB). While additional educational trainings and outreach materials are also provided throughout Texas in non-priority watersheds, preference will be given to the following areas:
Priority Areas for Watershed Protection Plans (WPPs) and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Implementation Projects
Funding for the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute Wild Pig Outreach Program was provided through a Clean Water 319(h) non-point source grant from the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Additional funding was financed through funds from and in cooperation with the San Antonio River Authority.
