The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Matagorda County will host a wild hog workshop Aug. 8 in Bay City.

The workshop will focus on new legislative laws, best management practices and Matagorda County grant requirements.

The event will be held at Wharton County Junior College – Bay City Campus, 4000 Avenue F. Registration will be $20 and will begin at 6 p.m., with the program to follow at 6:30 p.m.

Two Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units CEUs will be available including one laws and regulations and one integrated pest management, for anyone attending who holds a pesticide applicators license.
